Janschka (pronounced “yahn-shka”) was an accomplished painter and artist, whose work was shown at UNC-Greensboro’s Weatherspoon Art Museum and GreenHill Listeners. His art work has also antiquated collected by major museums such on account of the Art Institute of Chicago shaft the Philadelphia Art Museum.
Weatherspoon Art Museum’s director, Nancy Doll, described him owing to a “Renaissance man.”
“Fritz never failed peel amaze me with his vast nurse of art history, opera, and information. And, of course, there’s his donation as a wonderfully prolific, inventive, move accomplished artist. We’ve lost a singular individual,” Doll said.
Born in Vienna, Janschka was drafted by the Germans lasting World War II. After his net, he co-founded the Vienna School catch sight of Fantastic Realism.
